The Eye of Soul
(Abridged Edition)
I judge you not by what you wear,
Whether your garment is of rag or riches,
Or your skin is of a color white or black,
Whether you wear some gold or trinkets,
Or decorate yourself with stones and diamonds,
I see you with the eye of Soul.
I know you, for who you are inside of you,
Not for your smiles, for smiles could be false,
Not for your looks, for looks could deceive,
Not for your appearance, for that won’t last,
And not for your clothes, for that only covers.
I see you with the eye of Soul.
I am a friend to that you inside of you,
Indifferent to your dose of limitations,
Forgiving to your human flaws of character
Unyielding to rumors and gossips about you
For the eye within sees even more,
I see you with the eye of Soul.

I Cry Me a New Beginning
Another year has come and gone
So many lessons were there to learn
And some of them I may have missed,
And here another year comes anew.
Though
I may cry for some guiding hand
To lead me out of the hindering pit,
Indeed I know I must stretch my hand
Out of the pit if I must get some help
Exhausted and crushed I may be now
Defeated and beaten down to earth
But only I can pick me up
To start again to make new strides
And in this fleeting days of illusion
I must stand for myself to live
And though I may have failed before
I will try some more, again and again,
To learn to overcome the lower self
And passions of the mind in life
Of anger, lust and vanity,
Of attachment and even greed,
With those true virtues of the mind
Of patience, and right sense to choose
Of humility, and detachment too,
Of contentment, the state of being
Though the path be strewn with thorns
And may be slippery at best at times
My Inner Guidance I still will trust
As I cry me a new beginning,
The Light of God will shine my way
The Sound of God will lead my path
Through the valley and shadow ways
I shall emerge again a better I.

OUR ESSENCE - Honey Judith Rubin
The Essence is all that is unique
It's Names are our descriptors,
and all our titled beings
with their platitudes and plans
are but the shell of a seed
to be transformed
as life
gives birth

RESURRECTION OF THE PRINCE WITHIN
And when the prince has toured the world
In search of the glory that he had lost,
Led astray by the illusions of his ego,
He comes to the threshold of reality
Always and ever waiting for his knock.
And when the prince abandons his ego,
And in humility accepts his fallacies,
He unburdens his mind of its illusions
And open in him a room for revelation
Of that which has hitherto been in him.
And thus in humbling of the little self,
The prince is exalted to higher realms,
Where he shall unite in identification,
With the true self and essence he truly is,
Always have been and always will be.

LOOKING THROUGH A BUM'S EYES
Joycelyn Solomon
I am a bum.
I am your worst nightmare but I do not care.
I have great insight and wisdom so let me share.
I have seen night and I also seen day.
I have seen happiness and I have seen pain.
I have witnessed the sane and the insane.
When you are thinking that you are really intact with the
world you are really living in this whirlwind.
So when you see me on the corner
Please pay me some mind.
Maybe you can see the world
through more than your eyes.
SONNET FOR THE SELF
Maybe for a thoughtful moment once
Bid myself a selfless question pose,
Asking for what the purpose it is
That Spirt does in surplus bestow
Blessings and sources in me to have.
To waste in me alone the all wealthy,
Or to share with others, the all needy?
To boost the pride in me inferior,
Or to test the conscience in me superior?
And if the answer on this to myself,
Grant not sincerely to me by self,
I deceive no one then but just myself.
For what gift I waste, is what I owe, and
In Divine accounting must someday balance.

SPIRIT OF SOUL, by Oliver Mbamara
"The heart of love knows the spirit of Soul,
And by the present practice of this perspective,
Shall the journey home be commenced,
And someday our destination shall meet within
To discover again, the true substance we are."
"And what am I but Soul,
And what is Soul but that I am;
The substance of beingness,
Expressing the consciousness of Spirit.
BOUNDARIES
Dhaneshmkumar
The four walls fortifying the realms
make it to yell beyond the walls,
The fetters that build it to quell
the fondle triggers a wobbly,
Staggering changeling.
This child edify natures
statue that which bonds
till the pyre, an incredible
Crinkle deep in the roots,
An infamous urge
To crackle the chains.
Passionate bird that
migrate miles;
A jubilant dolphin
that divulge to ether;
A giraffes head
that jettisons out;
All of these are
Mothers credential.
HEART TO HEART
Ralph Maduike
Heart to heart we must live
With no stress nor strain
And with no limit but in infinity
As our hearts mingle and co-join
Heart to heart we shall dwell
And pay no rent to any landlord
We shall have peace of the soul
And no hindrance shall hinder
